Alexander Merkler is a neurologist in New York, New York, board certified in Neurology and Neurocritical Care. He trained at Brown University and NYU Grossman School of Medicine, completed his residency in neurology at Weill Cornell Medical College where he served as Chief Resident, and finished a two-year fellowship in neurocritical care at Columbia University and Weill Cornell Medical College. He practices at Lawrence Medical Associates, Weill Cornell Medical College Neuro Critical UCU, Weill Medical College of Cornell, and Regents of the University of Michigan, and speaks English and Spanish. Merkler has authored more than 100 publications in peer-reviewed medical journals on neurological disorders and serves as a peer reviewer for several medical journals. He is currently funded by a Career Development Award from the American Heart Association and a Weill Cornell Medicine Grant to study the neurological complications of COVID-19.
