Ype P De Jong is a gastroenterologist in New York, New York, who specializes in digestive health. He studied medicine at the University of Amsterdam Medical School and completed his master's degree there before conducting research into the immunopathogenesis of Crohn's disease at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, where he obtained his PhD. He completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, followed by a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the same institution. De Jong is currently an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and practices at Weill Medical College of Cornell University, New York and Presbyterian Hospital.

He treats patients with a range of liver and digestive conditions, including hepatitis, cirrhosis, fatty liver disease and colon cancer risk, and performs procedures such as colonoscopy, upper endoscopy, liver ultrasound and hepatitis testing. He is an integral part of the Center for the Study of Hepatitis C, serving as a physician at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and as a Visiting Clinical Fellow at The Rockefeller University. He speaks English.
