Dr. Desiree Carmen Sanchez, DDS, is a general dentist in Minneapolis, Minnesota, at the Community-University Health Care Center (CUHCC). She earned her dental degree from Universidad Central de Venezuela in 1990 and later completed a master's degree and certificate in the Oral Health Services for Older Adults Program at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry. Dr. Sanchez joined CUHCC in 2008 in a joint teaching position with the program. Her training in geriatric dentistry has equipped her to care for older adults across the spectrum of health, from well to frail, and those in skilled or non-skilled nursing facilities.
She offers a full range of general dental services, including cleanings, exams and X-rays, fillings, crowns, root canals, extractions, dentures and partials, along with fluoride treatments, sealants and oral hygiene instruction. Dr. Sanchez also provides dental education and uses relaxing gas for patient comfort. She speaks English.
