Dr. Joana Halilaj, DMD, is a general dentist in Washington, District of Columbia, based at Catoctin Corner Dentistry, Dental Professionals of Virginia, Neibauer Dental Care, and Palm Ridge Dental. She trained at the University of North Florida, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences, and at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, where she received her Doctor of Dental Medicine.
Dr. Halilaj treats a range of dental conditions including cavities, gum disease, cracked and chipped teeth, and toothaches, and her procedures include dental cleanings, fillings, crowns and bridges, dental implants, root canal therapy, and oral surgery. Her own experience as a patient—undergoing dental treatment and jaw surgery in high school—inspired her to pursue dentistry, following in the footsteps of her mother, who practiced as a general dentist in Albania for twenty years.
