Dr. Cameron Emily Niven is a family medicine doctor in San Jose, California, board certified in Family Medicine. She trained at UCSF School of Medicine and completed her internship and residency in Family Medicine at Stanford Health Care O'Connor. She practices at Sutter East Bay Medical Group and speaks English. Dr. Niven's approach to medicine is shaped by her own experience as a patient with Crohn's Disease, which reinforced her belief in patient empowerment and autonomy as central to healing. She combines her training in family medicine and integrative medicine to support whole body and whole person healing in partnership with each patient and their support system. Before becoming a physician, she volunteered at the Berkeley Free Clinic, and she continues to support free clinics and safety net clinics in the Bay Area. She has a particular interest in organizations serving immigrant and LGBTQ+ community members and those working toward reproductive rights and health equity.
