Dr. Evelyn Attia Laufer is a psychiatrist in New York, New York, board certified in Psychiatry and trained at Princeton University. She practices at New York State Psychiatric Institute, Trustees of Columbia University In the City of New York, and New York Presbyterian, and speaks English. Dr. Attia received her A.B. from Princeton University in 1982 and her M.D. from Columbia University College of Physicians & Surgeons in 1986. She was formerly the director of the inpatient eating disorders program at The New York State Psychiatric Institute and has focused on research involving the psychobiology and treatment of anorexia nervosa, with uninterrupted funding from the National Institute of Mental Health since 1999.
