About
Dr. Christopher F. Liu is a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist in New York, New York, board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology. He trained at Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons and practices at Weill Medical College of Cornell, New York Downtown Hospital, and Weill Medical College of Cornell Group.
Dr. Liu specializes in heart rhythm care and treats a wide range of conditions including atrial fibrillation, heart failure, palpitations, syncope, cardiomyopathy and coronary artery disease, as well as patients with pacemakers and implantable defibrillators in place. His procedures include arrhythmia ablation, cardiac device evaluation and adjustment, electrophysiology studies, echocardiography and cardiac device insertion and replacement. As Medical Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology Services for the New York-Presbyterian—Weill Cornell Network, he leads the Complex Arrhythmia Ablation and Structural Heart Electrophysiology programs and has pioneered multiple advanced procedures including pulsed-field ablation for atrial fibrillation, left atrial appendage closure, and physiologic conduction system pacemakers. Dr. Liu takes a personalized approach to ablation, tailoring treatment to each patient's individual arrhythmia mechanisms, and integrates advanced imaging technologies to make procedures more effective and safer. He speaks English.
