Dr. Laura Romito, DDS, is a general dentist at Indiana University School of Dentistry - Dental Faculty Practice in Indianapolis, Indiana. She earned a B.S. in Food Science & Nutrition and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University, completed a general dental practice residency at the University of Nebraska, and later earned a Master's degree in Health Promotion from Nebraska Methodist College. Her clinical work and research interests center on the relationship between health behavior change and oral and systemic health, with particular focus on tobacco use and dependence. At Indiana University School of Dentistry, where she joined the faculty in 2005, she has served as a course director and restorative dentistry instructor, and has been instrumental in developing interprofessional education initiatives across IU campuses since 2011. As Associate Dean of Education and Academic Affairs at the IU School of Dentistry since 2022, she leads curricular initiatives in the predoctoral program. Dr. Romito speaks English.
